Filmfare Awards East is the East Indian segment of the annual Filmfare Awards, presented by The Times Group to honour the artistic and cinematic excellence in West Bengal, Odisha and Assam. The first installment of the awards will be separately given away for Bengali, Oriya and Assamese films in a ceremony to be held on March 29, 2014.
Prosenjit Chatterjee was the chief guest of the press conference to announce the first Vivel Filmfare Awards (East). The best of Bengali, Oriya & Assamese cinema will be honoured.
